CR2’s group sales director Guy Harris said the firm’s innovative software

solutions such as CardWorld and BankWorld and the use of emerging technologies

will provide seamless and more efficient banking facility across several

customer touch points such as Internet, ATMs, wireless devices and payment

cards.

According to Harris, the integration of Internet banking with other banking

channels has become a strategic necessity. The convergence of the Internet with

browser based ATMs and the arrival of multi-application payment cards are

leading to increased commonality in technology across all channels, providing

opportunities for seamless integration of these channels.

Commenting on the advantages of channel management, Harris said channel

management would enable banks to build loyalty and profitability by delivering

consistent and personalized banking services to customer target groups. It would

also enable banks to identify the range of customer needs, he said.

With effective channel management deployment, banks can react quickly to new

channels as and when they are available. Channel management suite will enable

banks to plug into new channels instead of going in for expensive and

time-consuming one-to-one integration.

On the local market potential, he said India is an exciting market for CR2.

Exponential growth in the number of online consumers and the ongoing steps to

establish infrastructure such as payment gateways and digital certification will

go a long way in adopting a more secure and functionally rich channel banking,

he said.
