"Quality is not a separate staff function at Covansys," said Covansys, Vice president, TQM, S Muralidharan. " It encompasses everything we do here. Formalizing the good work done by our people and fitting the processes into a framework helped Covansys achieve Level 5 in PCMM."

QAI India Limited, SEI authorized lead assessor, Rajesh Naik, led the PCMM assessment over a period of 9 days. The assessment covered all the project units and other support areas at Covansys locations in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai. The focus on innovation and measurement lays a strong foundation for rapid scaling up of operations. I look forward to similar future association with Covansys".

The Software Engineering Institute developed the PCMM framework at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. It is the only framework that addresses the needs of employees, their competencies, and the processes that need to be in place to ensure that the organization is continuously improving and is able to meet the business needs effectively and efficiently.
