CHENNAI: Coral Telecom, a telecom solution provider, has launched its
indigenously designed and developed IRIS IVDX (Integrated Voice & Data
Exchange) series of EPABX systems in the market. The high-end system is capable
of handling exchange of voice and data simultaneously with the single switching
equipment.
"Our new solution allows customers to do IP-based communication using
their existing telephone network," said Coral Telecom managing director
Rajesh Tuli. "We have used RAS capability in our system to generate
individual IP address for each telephone extension in the given network. This is
the first of its kind solution available in the market now", he added.
IRIS has been developed using latest chipsets and powerful software that can
integrate various technologies. The product handles data as freely as it would
do with voice traffic. "We are mainly targeting corporate market for
promoting this solution", he said. It also sees business potential in SME
segment, besides large housing societies.
The product has a compact design using VLSI feature, which reduces the number
of components in the system. "The outstanding feature of the product is
that it supports high-speed voice and data transmission simultaneously using
existing copper wire itself," said Rajesh Tuli.
It costs Rs 3,200 per port for the buyers and the company expects to make a
revenue of Rs 30 crore in this product line alone, before end of this fiscal.
"The market is huge, so we are confident of achieving this target," he
added.
Coral Telecom markets its products and service through both OEM deals and
direct marketing with channels.
