NEW DELHI: Coral Telecom, a company dealing in design, manufacture and supply of integrated switch for corporate applications, is planning to come out with an ERP engine next year.

The company is among the few Indian manufacturing companies with an R&D center, also involved in developing algorithms and computational models. Using these, Coral is coming out with an ERP engine, which is not customer specific.

According to Coral Telecom MD Rajesh Tuli, “Coral would be giving a common kernel to its customers and the companies can develop domain specific ERP packages based on that kernel. The launch would be phase-wise with the company launching the ERP engine in Q1 (AMJ), 2006.”

The company is also planning to integrate this engine with switches to provide enterprise mobility solutions, slated for launch in Q2, 2006.

Tuli added, “The solution is expected to enable the PDA of mobile professionals to communicate with Coral's switches on Wi-Fi.”

Coral recently tied up with BSNL to supply voice and data electronic private branch exchange (EPABX) systems. The volume of business expected from this is worth 300 crore. At present, Coral is the only empanelled vendor for this contract.

Tuli said, “In the first four months of the agreement, we have already installed 50 percent of the 30,000 lines that is proposed. The company plans to install another 50,000-60,000 lines by March 2006.”

Coral is aiming at 35 percent growth YoY and expects to end FY05-06 at Rs 40-45 crore. The company employs around 350 people with around 60 in its R&D center.
