BANGALORE: Coral Telecom has bagged projects from Indian Railways. The
project is spread across Northern, Southern and Western railways with an
estimated value of Rs 10 crores.
Coral Telecom, managing director, Rajesh Tuli said, "We have bagged this
prestigious project to cater to the Northern, Southern and Western railways and
to deliver them with the latest technology. With this technology installation
more than 90 per cent of the communication of the respective railways will be
done through these telecom exchanges installed by us".
The project for Northern Railways consists of commissioning of EPABX’s with
2500 lines capacity at three of the most prestigious locations of the Indian and
Northern Railway. A feather was added to its achievements as it has recently
bagged the project of installing 17 exchanges for Southern Railway over
transparent networking Q-sig protocol. Coral Telecom also achieved a
technological breakthrough in Western Railways by installing 23 exchanges with a
total capacity of 3000 ports.
Southern Railway will have 90 per cent of its communication done through the
telecom exchanges installed by Coral Telecom and 100 per cent of their senior
officers will communicate through these exchanges. It has also acquired a
breakthrough in Western Railway wherein 9 of their stations are connected over E
& M protocol where the Caller name ID is not only passed but switched from
the first location to the last location.
