Convergint expands with acquisition of Chinese and Canadian firms

SCHAUMBURG, USA: Suburban-Chicago based Convergint Technologies announced its second acquisition within the last 30 days with the purchase of FSC, a provider of physical security systems and services throughout Eastern Canada.

Last month, Convergint announced the acquisition of ICD Security Solutions, a provider of physical security systems and services throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Founded in 1982 by its current CEO Sam Shalaby, Convergint and FSC will integrate their businesses, located in Toronto and Ottawa, resulting in one of the strongest physical security solution and service providers in Eastern Canada.

ICD Security Systems, founded in 1997 in China, is a leading value-added security solutions provider serving global Fortune 500 companies. The company provides a wide array of world class security services including system design, integration, support, training, and monitoring services with a highly skilled workforce of more than two hundred professionals operating in seven countries throughout Asia Pacific.
