BANGALORE: Control Techniques India Ltd., a member of the Emerson
Group, the US, has launched vector-controlled micro-drives under the brand name
- Commander SE. Speaking at the launch, Control Techniques Asia-Pacific Region
Chief Executive Officer Worldwide Ray Brister said "Commander SE is the
latest inverter drive." "SE stands for simple and easy and the concept
should appeal to all drive users," he added. He claimed that the new device
was durable, easy to install, user friendly, capable of adapting to simple and
complex applications and all at an attractive price.
The Indian operation was set up in 1993. Emerson Group worldwide has a
turnover of $13 billion and has 270 manufacturing locations. The group
manufactures DC and AC drive products, soft starters, inverter duty motors and
feedback devices.
