Confio Ignite PI for SQL Server incorporates Performance Intelligence (PI) , a new method of performance analysis that identifies the most important performance problems in IT systems and their root causes. Ignite PI for SQL Server brings Ignite monitoring and analysis capabilities to the SQL Server platform for the first time.

Central to Ignite PI for SQL Server is the Ignite Performance Data Warehouse, running on a non-production SQL Server system. This multi-dimensional data warehouse stores continuous user wait-type data gathered across production servers from multiple vendors. With an intuitive web-based interface, database administrators (DBAs) have an enterprise tool to identify problems, spot trends, anomalies and data relationships that are contributing to poor system performance. Ignite PI for SQL Server guides DBAs through a series of reports that isolate the exact sources of delays to give them confidence that they have achieved the correct problem resolution.

"The new Ignite PI version brings our data warehouse to SQL Server environments for first time," stated Don Bergal, chief operating officer at Confio Software. "This new open architecture for the Igniter Suite PI release gives our customers much more flexibility in taking advantage of our wait-time based Performance Intelligence approach."

Confio Ignite PI for SQL Server is intended for sites desiring to use SQL Server as the storage of the Performance Data Warehouse. The Performance Data Warehouse can be installed on Windows, UNIX and Linux servers. The architecture includes thin-client web based architecture with managed access for all setup, administration, IT management monitoring and expert DBA analysis for problem resolution.
