Comtech receives order for approximately $7.0 mil for TWTAs

MELVILLE, USA: Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Santa Clara subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., received an order for approximately $7.0 million from a U.S. based system integrator for Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) for a major U.S. Army Satellite Communications program.

The TWTAs ordered for this challenging Army application are part of Comtech Xicom Technology's new TWTA product line.

They offer an outstanding combination of high-efficiency, small size and light weight, which provides system designers and integrators maximum flexibility for optimizing system designs.

Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., dealing in high-power amplifiers worldwide, manufactures a wide variety of tube-based and solid-state power amplifiers for military and commercial satellite up-link applications. The product range encompasses power levels from 8W to 3kW, with frequency coverage in sub-bands within the 2 GHz to 45 GHz spectrum. Amplifiers are available for fixed and ground-based, ship-board, and airborne mobile applications.
