Computer Associates launches Jasmine portal

NEW DELHI: Computer Associates International (CA), provider of e- business

management solutions has announced the launch of Jasmine portal in India, an

Enterprise information portal in association with Planetasia, an Internet

technology solution and services company.

The company has also announced partnership with Planetasia for cohesive

management of business-critical information for their customers and to leverage

it for new opportunities.

Jasmine portal unites all forms of information and applications from existing

systems into a single, collaborative environment, so users can focus on the

information needed to work effectively and efficiently, while the underlying

applications remain transparent. The portal is priced at $22,000 to $25,000 on

hardware units base.

Speaking on the occasion, K.P. Vinod, director, marketing, CA India, said,

"This portal is an extremely feature-rich, user-friendly portal and is for

any organization that wants to empower its employees and respond effectively to

the rapidly changing markets today."

Anand Sudarshan, Co-CEO, Planetasia, said, "As companies consolidate and

markets unfold to new realities, we see a burgeoning growth in the need for

business to employee communication and intra-corporate dissemination of

structured information."

The launch of Jasmine portal is CA's first initiative in the Information

Management sector in India. CA plans to target the untapped market in India

through tie-ups with channel partners for integration and implementation of the

product.
