Compudyne Winfosystems records 267% growth

BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Compudyne Winfosystems Ltd. (CWL) has recorded a

total turnover of Rs 6.43 crore for the year ended March 2000. The company has

recorded 267 per cent growth over the last year's total turnover of Rs 1.75

crore. CWL has accounted Rs 1.95 crore profit as against Rs 37.23 lakhs for the

corresponding year registering a growth of 426 per cent. CWL's main focus area

of e-commerce contributed 60 per cent of the revenue and the rest 40 per cent

from multimedia activities. The company has announced 15 per cent dividend to

its shareholders.

Marc Kolbe, Vice President of Vision Art, Santa Monica Studio, and Al

Natella, Director Finance of Beckman Coulter and Director of Eternet Inc were

inducted on the board of the company as additional directors.

For the coming year, the company is planning to have a development center in

New Jersey, US. CWL is intend to invest around Rs15 crore on infrastructure and

is projecting Rs 20 crore turnover for the coming fiscal year. Currently, the

company employs around 150 people, which is expected to double by the next year.
