Compuage ties up with LanBit

MUMBAI, September 10: Compuage Electronics Pvt. Ltd., a distributor of

high end technology products and services, has entered into a distribution

tie up with LanBit India, an associate company of LanBit-Allion, Taiwan,

into modems and networking products.

To coincide with this tie-up, LanBit has also announced a range of new

LAN products, 16/32 Port 100 Mbps Switches and 8 Port 100 Mbps Hubs, which

will be distributed by Compuage.

"Compuage's strong distribution network will help enhance LanBit's

market share in India," says Compuage Chairman & MD Atul Mehta.

According to LanBit (India) CEO Rajeev Mehrohtra, "The networking

market in India is growing exponentially. We have entered into this

strategic tie-up so that the distribution to channels could be handled by

Compuage. LanBit will concentrate on marketing, technical support and new

product development." Through this tie-up, LanBit will be able to

reach out to its customers, manage distributors and also enhance its

market share in the networking products market from 18 per cent to 30 per

cent, in the next twelve months.

The new LAN range is targeted at medium and large corporates. The 8

Port Hubs along with five 100 Mbps Ethernet Cards is priced at Rs 9,950.

This new range will be available all over the country through Compuage's

vast network of channel partners and resellers. Compuage will be

purchasing the products directly from LanBit.
