Compellent's co-founder Phil Soran to retire

BANGALORE, INDIA: Now that the integration of Compellent into Dell is more or less completed, Compellent's co-founder and CEO Phil Soran announced his retirement at the Dell Storage Forum in London, according to a report on Channel Register.

Soran, who stayed on for a year after Dell acquired Compellent for $940 million in late 2010, will be retiring on 31 March, 2012, the report adds.

Compellent's other co-founders Larry Aszmann and John Guider left the company soon after the acquisition.

Dell announced new updations to Compellent's fluid data architecture at the forum.
