Compaq India, BaaN and Tata Infotech
today announced a strategic initiative - Singlepoint- aimed at eliminating
time and cost overruns in relation to ERP implementation. The initiative
provides customers with a single interface to meet their ERP needs by
offering easy-to-implement BaaN ERP software solutions with Compaq
hardware backed up by the implementation expertise of Tata Infotech.
Singlepoint removes the need to approach and co-ordinate with multiple
vendors, and also provides ERP solutions within a pre-determined framework
of cost and time, thus eliminating implementation delays and cost
overruns.
"The strategic initiative between three industry leaders is bound
to benefit the corporates. Singlepoint leverages the individual and
combined expertise of the alliance partners to provide the customer with
the required ERP solutions within the committed time and cost frames. This
will not only eliminate the need to co-ordinate with different vendors,
but also provide quicker return on investment," said Compaq India
Managing Director Balu Doraisamy.
Tata Infotech will contribute its expertise as system integrators of
ERP solutions, while global player BaaN will bring its ERP technology to
the alliance. The ERP solutions will be run on Compaq’s industry leading
infrastructure hardware, assuring customers the scalability and
reliability of Compaq's powerful platforms.
