BANGALORE, INDIA: CommVault has entered into a partnership with Informatica, an independent data integration provider, to deliver a fully integrated archiving solution that extends support to leading databases and applications, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, SAP, PeopleSoft, Siebel and other custom or legacy applications.
Data integration platform must for enterprises
This new technology partnership will enable CommVault Simpana software customers to easily and efficiently archive large databases from mission-critical business applications, such as CRM and ERP systems, to better streamline eDiscovery and improve database space management.
For eDiscovery and the search of structured data, Simpana software can also help customers to simplify the identification, collection and processing of evidence from structured data sources.
According to Enterprise Strategy Group, 49 percent of respondents have indicated that they have been asked to produce information that resides in databases as part of a legal or regulatory inquiry.
CommVault continues to leverage its single software platform to deliver comprehensive archiving capabilities, encompassing unstructured (e.g., file systems); semi-structured (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint and email); and now, with Informatica, structured information (e.g., databases).
