The vendor is also a platinum sponsor of the Gitex Big Data conference entitled ‘Delivering the New ROI - Return on Information', taking place on 22 October, 2013. Allen Mitchell, senior Technical Account Manager, MENA at CommVault Systems is one of the speakers at this conference and will educate conference attendees on modern information management practices.

"Leading IT analyst firm IDC predicts that by 2014, data growth will reach a staggering 72 zettabytes a year. Although ‘big data' is widely discussed, organizations are still unaware of how to establish the critical link between big data and its return on investment. This is why CommVault emphasizes the need for organizations to invest in intelligent data management solutions so as to turn this information overload from a liability into an asset," says Fiona Moon, marketing director, EMEA at Commvault Systems.

The recently launched Simpana 10 platform that will be demonstrated at Gitex helps cut storage-related costs by up to 50 percent, reduces administrative overheads by up to 80 percent and lowers aggregate support costs by up to 35 percent. It incorporates a number of features that enable regional IT departments to align technology with current and future business demands.

Simpana offer self-service access from mobile devices while maintaining the highest level of security when sharing, searching and restoring files across mobile, desktop and laptop devices. The platform enables the accelerated delivery of managed services and cloud computing through new automation of large-scale data centers.

It also doubles backup and archive performance and scale to manage data growth, regulatory requirements and business demands.

CommVault will use GITEX as an opportunity to generate awareness of its new enterprise consulting and professional services, educational offerings and predictive analytics support services which were all launched earlier this year.

Since the company is firmly reliant on its channel community to drive growth in the region, it will look to strengthen channel ties through its participation.

Moon adds: "GITEX presents us with a great opportunity to engage with the entire spectrum of IT professionals ranging from vendors, channel partners and of course, existing and potential customers. Our experience of previous editions gives us confidence in the value of our participation. Our presence also assures our partners and customers that we are and will remain highly dedicated to the regional market in future."
