With a new internal chat and 'follow' system, useful MS Word and calendar integrations and a click-to-dial feature on mobile phones, Commence Version 5.5 upgrades a 'goldilocks' CRM solution for companies that feel trapped between low-powered CRM and overpriced 'corporate' options.

"Commence CRM Version 5.5 was driven by the feedback of our customers and the creativity of our developers," said Larry Caretsky, president of Commence.

"Every single quarter we invest in our technology and produce a new version, and we always look to our customers for direction. This simply does not happen with large CRM companies and 'freemium' CRM providers. Version 5.5 shows that after 25 years, we're still improving our product and providing a mixture of technical support and on-demand service that few other companies offer."

Commence has distinguished itself in the CRM space by providing a one-screen solution and an unusual degree of hands-on support. Beyond contact management and sales, Commence was built to handle e-mail marketing, help desk (ticketing) management and marketing campaigns while integrating with Outlook and Google Calendar, Tasks and Maps. This allows sales, support teams and administrators to conduct virtually all of their work within Commence rather than constantly switching screens.

Other notable features like account scoring, organizational charts, lead management and a built-in project management system have saved hard-charging sales teams from knocking at the wrong doors. In addition, company technical and sales experts regularly assist customers with data migrations, online or on-site instructional training, customization, third party system integration and report generation.

New features in Version 5.5 demonstrate Commence Corporation's commitment to continually improving the product and meeting the needs of customers:

Conversations: Commence now provides an internal instant messaging system that lives strictly within the platform. With group chat features and a Twitter-like 'follow' feature, managers can reach multiple employees at once and keep tabs on the internal dialogue. 'Conversations' strikes a balance between the urgency of a phone call and the often slow response to emails.

Microsoft Word Integration: Version 5.5 allows MS Word users to pre-populate letter templates with information stored in Commence, saving valuable time.

Click to Dial: On both iOS and Android phones, Commence users can tap a contact's phone number to dial it.
