BANGALORE, INDIA: Google will rebrand its Google Docs and launch it as an online storage service, Google Drive, 'fairly soon', says a report on TechCrunch.

The report also notes, 'Google has been positioning Docs as a sort of Google Drive since early 2010', however still most do not realize that Google Docs can be used ' for storage beyond the files they use in Docs.'

As per the report, the search engine giant expects that the rebranding will help pushing users to use Google Docs as online storage, as well.

Moreover, it will also feature native syncing software that supports computers and mobile devices, similar to Dropbox.
