Comba opens India office

MUMBAI: Comba Telecom, provider of wireless solutions for the 2G and 3G mobile telecoms market, has opened its India office in New Delhi.

It has appointed Rajiv Girotra as the country general manager.

The company would now serve directly to Indian service providers with wireless network enhancement and coverage solutions for both indoor and outdoor environments. Comba's current customer base in India includes operators such as Spice Networks, Hutch and Airtel. Comba has been present in the Indian market through its representatives and partners.

Girotra said, “ Faced with one of the lowest average revenues per user in the world, Comba offers a reliable and cost-effective network enhancement solution to mobile operators to help mitigate pressures on their margins.”

Simon Yeung, Comba's chief operating and strategy officer, commented “Through our office, we will build and enhance a solid sales and support network by working closely with our existing business partners in India”.

The company's focus will be on providing project management and customized network solutions to clients in India. Comba will offer Indian customers complete wireless solutions, systems solutions, technical consultation and design services, customized production and development of wireless products and end-to-end pre and post sales technical support.

Comba India will also serve as the regional base for the SAARC countries including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
