BANGALORE: Nasdaq listed Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation has
extended its relationship with $3 billion Schwans Sales Enterprises Inc., by
adding SAP application development to the eBusiness and large scale application
management responsibilities it already has at Schwans. An official press release
issued today, stated, "Cognizant’s investment in ERP and CRM capabilities
is gaining traction among users of SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Siebel and other
large systems."

"We have expanded Cognizant’s responsibilities as they continue to
deliver high quality value-added service," said Schwans’ director of
Systems Development, Allen McGillvrey. "Cognizant is unique among offshore
firms because they can ramp up fast, are highly responsive and bring depth of
knowledge to our relationship including eBusiness, ERP and large systems
capabilities. They deliver expertise and best practices to every single aspect
of our application infrastructure," he said.

"Cognizant continues to benefit from the trend of the Global 2000
companies to use offshore outsourcing for their large scale and strategic IT
deployments," said Kumar Mahadeva, chairman and CEO of Cognizant. "We
are increasing the number of services that we can provide to each client by
adding new capabilities, including SAP, CRM and other ERP. Because companies
continue to focus on reducing costs while maximizing IT effectiveness they are
asking us to provide additional services and we are increasing our share of the
IT spending at many customers," he added.
