Cogility believes that the new web-based software platform will offer the most comprehensive suite of capabilities available to the legal market -- from eDiscovery to analytics and lifecycle management. The solution, as per the press release, will provide corporate general counsels and legal teams a web-based command center for legal portfolio, case, and budget management. It also features Big Data analytics and business intelligence to manage risks and to predict outcomes, as well as Complex Event Processing to automate process and data integration for efficiency. It will be designed to operate efficiently with large volumes of both structured and unstructured data.

Cogility expects that the software, when fully developed, will lead to a significant number of Legal Analytics contracts and licensing arrangements with other major law firms and with corporate legal departments.

"Our software allows clients to focus their resources, to optimize their budgets, and to become better informed as a large amount of data is fused and transformed into actionable intelligence," explained Cogility CEO Dan Terry. "Our Legal Analytics solutions will provide senior executives with unprecedented insights into the economic value and risks of each case with supporting facts and analytics. Our technology analyzes complex, high-volume and often-conflicting data, and pushes the information to the users in a timely, intuitive and easy to understand process."
