BANGALORE, INDIA: Aditi's partnership with Microsoft has been around for a long time, but this seems to be the right time to be talking to the company and understanding how co-engineering is helping the company grow and embark into new markets.

Explaining what this means to Aditi, Pankaj said, "Co-engineering with Microsoft works at two levels for us -- one, more 'outcome-based' co-engineering, and the other is an outsourcing model where more core work is done by a company like Aditi. In the second model, we are happy to be part of many mission critical products that come out of the Microsoft stable."

Interestingly, Bio informatics is a new area that both Microsoft and Aditi are embarking on. "Microsoft has founded something called MBF, which stands for Microsoft Biology Foundation, which is essentially a collection of algorithms, meant to identify and analyse between three types of proteins. The entire MBF is Aditi's baby -- the domain expertise, IP and programming", Pankaj said. He also added that over 100 companies worldwide are currently using MBF tools.

Aditi is also instrumental in the Microsoft-Yahoo search project where the backend integration of the Microsoft tools with Yahoo will be designed by Aditi. Another impressive project is one called Trident, in collaboration with Microsoft Azure and is set to define the future of cloud computing.
