NEW DELHI: CMC ltd has announced the signing of a multi-crore ‘Total Branch

Automation' (TBA) order from Central Bank of India (CBI). The TBA order for CBI,

covers the automation of 300 branches across 36 cities and involves the

installation of a range of IT equipment including state-of-the-art PC's, servers

and printers in each of the branches.

This would enable the bank to extend its IT-enabled services to a larger base

of customers across the country. CBI had earlier selected CMC to setup its

countrywide network that provides interconnectivity to its regional & branch

offices for data and voice communication, which has been successfully completed

in record time.

Raghuraman, GM - IT, CBI said, "CBI is one of the most IT savvy banks in
the country having a vision to fulfill its commitment to people by stretching

its services into the remotest rural places."

R Ramanan, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, CMC Ltd.

added, "We have been a value adding technology partner of CBI for many
years.  Added to this, our association with software major Tata Consultancy

Services provides us with enhanced capability both in the range and reach of our

services.”
