CHICAGO, USA: Cleversafe Inc., the solution for limitless object-based storage, announced it has been named the 2013 Merrick Momentum Award Winner by the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC), a non-profit organization committed to supporting, promoting and growing the entrepreneurial community in Chicago. The award honors Cleversafe as one of Chicago's leading growth companies and recognizes its impact as a technology innovator both locally and worldwide.

Chris Gladwin, Cleversafe founder and vice chairman said: "When Cleversafe was founded in 2004, we set out to change the storage industry by inventing a solution that anticipated the need for massive storage and the limitations of traditional storage technology to address that growth. Back then, Cleversafe was years ahead of the market, and today we are helping customers move their businesses forward. The Merrick Momentum Award is further recognition that we offer a mature, proven and technically advanced solution whose time has come."

Cleversafe recently surpassed the 100-patent milestone, expanding its intellectual property portfolio and reinforcing its status as the leading innovator in the object storage market. With 105 patents issued or allowed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Cleversafe continues as one of the most patenting U.S. companies per employee and as the employer of 5 of the top 10 patent applicants in Chicago.
