City in Korea fighting crime with fiber network

MANSFIELD, USA: Telco Systems, a BATM company and developer of multi-service Carrier Ethernet access, MPLS and SDN solutions for mobile backhaul, business Ethernet services and cloud networking, announced that Yongin City, a city in South Korea, has chosen Telco Systems MPLS solutions to network all of the city's libraries, administration buildings and city-wide video surveillance (CCTV), serving its nearly million residents.

Telco Systems joined forces with Diznet, its authorized reseller and the leading solution provider in Korea, to support Yongin City's network. As the announcement adds, Diznet has extensive experience serving government and public carriers, offering particular expertise in Carrier Ethernet and intelligent transportation systems and the joint solution includes Telco Systems' offering, including its T-Marc demarcation product line, T-Metro aggregation product line, and EdgeGenie service management system.

As is stated further: Yongin, located in the southern Seoul metropolitan area, is a growing hub for technology, tourism and transportation. The city was looking to build a new fiber network to connect all of its libraries, government office networks, and the city's CCTV network to prevent crime and provide useful transportation information to its citizens.
