Citrix partners IIHT to deliver training in India

MUMBAI, INDIA: Citrix Systems announced its tie-up with Indian Institute of Hardware Technology (IIHT) to launch and deliver the Citrix training program. The curriculum will provide students with in-depth knowledge and certification on Citrix products and solutions and is scheduled to launch in the week of Jan 5, 2009.

Offered as the 'Citrix Certification Program, it will provide accredited training on all Citrix products and a curriculum for Xenapp, Xen Desktop, Xen Server, Password Manager, Netscalar and Access Gateway products. IIHT training centers located in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune will be conducting this program.

“The appointment of IIHT as a Citrix Authorized Learning Center (CALC) in India demonstrates our commitment to help both academia and businesses get the most from their investments in our company,” said Souma Das, Area VP, Citrix India. “IIHT has a proven track record in offering IT training services; they will play an integral role in delivering quality and world-class training for Citrix,” he added.

Commenting on the partnership, N Keshava Raju, CEO, IIHT said, “IIHT has pioneered IMS training in India. The launch of Citrix courses is a significant milestone for IIHT at a juncture when the opportunities in this field exceed available manpower. We are confident that this will be immensely beneficial for IT companies.

System administrators, system engineers, network engineers and developers can enroll themselves in this program. On successful completion, the individual can present themselves as a Citrix certified professional. This will add value and recognition of their IT skills enhancing their hands on and theoretical knowledge.
