Citrix names Redington as national distributor

BANGALORE, INDIA: Citrix Systems, Inc., a provider in application delivery infrastructure service, on Monday announced that effective May, 2009, Redington India Limited, provider of IT products and support services would serve as their national value added distributor.

Under this agreement Redington would distribute all products in the Citrix portfolio across the country.

The partnership with Redington is a validation of the strong channel push by Citrix to increase their market share in India, said a press release.

The company believes that there is huge market potential for virtualization across sectors in the country, it added.

“Our distribution partners have always played a pivotal role in our go-to-market strategy in India. With its nationwide reach and diversified portfolio, Redington is positioned to deliver our solutions to the newer and promising markets in the country,” said Souma Das, vice president, India sub-continent, Citrix.

Citrix plans to add 100 new partners by the end of 2009.

Redington will help Citrix reach out to newer markets across Tier 2 cities and grow their current partner base of Citrix Solutions Advisors (CSAs) for the virtualization and application delivery products.

Together, they will engage in several go-to-market activities, educate the partners and make them aware of the training and support initiatives from Citrix, said the release.

“We are delighted that Citrix has chosen us as their national Value added distribution partner and thus offer our channels and partners an opportunity to leverage on the award winning solutions from Citrix,” said R. Sasikanth, strategic business unit head - Enterprise SBU, Redington India.

He added that they are committed to providing Citrix the best value proposition by reaching out to the right audience.
