Citrix accelerates its Japan growth

TOKYO, JAPAN: Citrix Systems, Inc., a provider of virtualization, networking, recently underscored its commitment to long-term growth in the Japanese market, outlining details of next strategies to enable Japanese companies to simplify IT through proven desktop virtualization, server virtualization, network optimization and cloud computing solutions.

More than 4 million users in Japan are already using Citrix virtualization and networking technologies, serving over 16,000 companies which include NTT Communications, OMC Card, Asahi Kasei, Kirin Business Systems, Osaka Gas, Olympus, Molex, JTB Cargo, Fuji City Government, Suwa City and Kyoto University, said a press release.

Citrix products like XenDesktop, XenApp, XenServer, NetScaler and GoToMeeting help Japanese customers reduce IT costs, improve security, simplify desktop management, increase business agility and improve work-life balance for employees.

Mark Templeton, citrix president and chief executive officer, said, “Japan is one of our fastest growing regions and is strategically an extremely important market for Citrix. Japanese corporations across a broad range of industries are leveraging Citrix virtualization and networking solutions, from datacenter to desktop, to simplify and streamline their IT infrastructures.

He added that as Japanese customers seek to take advantage of the current market conditions to enable global growth, Citrix is supporting these business strategies with innovative solutions that enable competitive advantage and allows their customers to thrive in a new era of enterprise IT.

Citrix opened its first office in Japan 12 years ago. In addition to a broad range of sales, marketing and support staff, Citrix Japan today is home for an advanced R&D center-of-excellence that develops and localizes Citrix products for Japan, as well as the rest of the world.

Citrix plans to continue strengthening its virtualization, networking and cloud computing products for Japanese customers and continue growing its Japan operations, the release added.
