NEW YORK: CitiXsys Technologies Inc.'s recently launched Global Competence Center in New Delhi will be its primary hub for delivering services and development, and consulting support to channel partners - SAP Business One, the company said in a press release.
SAP Business One is SAP's business management software for small and mid-size enterprises in North America.
CitiXsys, consulting and IT services firm, chose to set up its new support center in India due to the competitive costs, international environment and infrastructure, the company said. The centre was launched early this month.
According to CitiXsys Technologies CEO Kamal Karmakar, "The decision to set up global competence center was an offshoot of our SAP Business One partnership initiative that started with the North American market in 2003."
"As we encountered a lot of interest and concrete prospects in all the main geographies we decided to set up the center that offers services to the SAP Business One partners and offer the India cost advantage."
The competence center is projected to expand the CitiXsys workforce by additional 250 resources by the end of 2006. The facility has been built with capacity for workforce expansion as the number of serviced customer increases.
The team at the Competence Center comprises domain and technology experts and acts as SAP Business One partners' own extended development arm with control over project priorities without incurring management hassles, the firm said while announcing the launch of the India centre.
CitiXsys has entered into a solution and service partner relationship with SAP America, Inc. to provide service and support to SAP Business One channel partners.
The Competence Center will provide proactive services and support such as remote consulting expertise for customization, project and design advice, application configuration, custom programming, and web services.
