Cisco unveils Flip Video Camera

BANGALORE: Cisco announced on Thursday the availability of the Flip Video Cameras in India with the introduction of Cisco Flip MinoHD and Cisco Flip UltraHD for consumers in five cities across Karnataka including Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Belgaum and Udupi.

The Flip MinoHD comes with 720p high definition (HD) video resolution, a two inch anti-glare screen and can capture up to two hours of recording time on the move with its 8GB of built-in memory , said a press release.

The pocket-sized sleek device features a durable brushed metal finish and responsive touch-sensitive buttons. Flip MinoHD comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery that can be charged through the built-in USB arm.

The Flip UltraHD (available in white colour), features one hour of recording time with its 4GB built-in memory, a large high-resolution two-inch screen, and convenient AA batteries.

Both the Flip cameras create video files in standard MP4 format and come with an HDMI port to view videos on HD televisions.

The Cisco Flip MinoHD and Flip UltraHD come preloaded with FlipShare software which is installed directly on a PC or Mac the first time the device is plugged in.

He added that this Cisco’s consumer strategy to provide a device which democratises the way people use video — that is more fun, easy and powerful for everyone to connect and communicate in their daily lives.
