Cisco shares enterprise case studies on Unified Computing System (UCS)

BANGALORE, INDIA: Enterprise networking vendor Cisco shared some of the customer case studies reflecting the achievements of its Unified Computing System (UCS) in the last five years.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand is one of the customers of Cisco UCS.The Stock Exchange of Thailand says Cisco UCS servers will improve IT infrastructure efficiency, which is especially helpful for Internet trading, which grew 80 percent in 2013, with more than 120,000 accounts.

Charamporn Jotikasthira, president and CEO of The Stock Exchange of Thailand, said: "UCS will help us to accommodate business expansion and improve services for our members and investors."

"Moreover, Cisco UCS supports 10 times more bandwidth and scalability than our previous system, so we are able to reduce the number of servers, save floor space, reduce operational costs, and cut power consumption by 10 percent, which supports our energy-saving policy," Jotikasthira added.
