Master system integration partners such as Johnson Controls, in conjunction with Cisco channel partners, deliver Cisco equipment and integration services that enable modular data center solution deployment.

The new data centre features Cisco Data Center Business Advantage framework, which includes Cisco Unified Computing, Unified Fabric and Unified Network Services.

Cisco claims that its portable data centre can be deployed in 12 weeks, from a customer order, including testing and shipping and that can yield a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.25 as opposed to 1.6 to 3.0 for other data centre solutions.

Brad Boston, senior vice president, Global Government Solutions Group, Cisco, said: "Cisco is committed to offering innovative data centre solutions for our customers. In conjunction with our extensive partner base, Cisco is able to offer the industry's most comprehensive standards-based data center portfolio. The containerized data centre delivers scalability, agility, efficiency and productivity that our customers require."
