Cisco to invest in KPMG

Cisco System Inc. plans to invest more than $1 billion in KPMG LLP. The

consulting firm, KPMG will hire 4,000 service professionals and engineers over the next 18

months to help their clients roll out Internet-based communications services.

KPMG, to provide services focussing on telecommunications

and large business markets plans to build six centres that will work with Cisco sales

people and which will provide additional support to Cisco customers.

Cisco President and Chief Executive John Chambers said

that, they chose to make the investment in KPMG's consulting business because they felt

that KPMG understands how the Internet will reshape the future of all businesses.
