BANGALORE: Bangalore-based CoSystems (India) Pvt. Ltd (CIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of CoSystems Inc.; a Silicon Valley technology corporation, has opened its 15,000 sq. ft new corporate office and development facility. It is investing around $2 million in this new center towards global marketing, expansion in infrastructure, personnel and to meet other expenses.

CIPL has signed its first contract with Rapid5 Networks Inc, which will use CIPL resources to build its products and sustain them during the next couple of years. The company is planning to have a sales office in US. Shirish Patel, Founder of CoSystems, said, " From its inception in 1992, CIPL has focused on developing core technologies for telecom and datacom market and has consciously stayed away from the preferred on-site consulting services. This focus has helped CIPL to acquire expertise in the telecom domain. Now this new focus will allow it to move up in the value chain and secure its own projects for large global customers."

The new operations wil begin from April 2000. The company plans to achieve Rs 8 crore turnover by year 2001 with 80 employees. It has currently around 30 people.
