Cinemo to unveil latest in automotive multimedia middleware

LAS VEGAS, USA: Cinemo, a global leader in high performance and automotive grade multimedia playback, streaming, media management and connectivity middleware, will be presenting live demonstrations of its latest technological innovations for automotive at the CES 2014 Show.

Cinemo was recently the recipient of two International CES Innovations 2014 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its Distributed Playback Technology, achieving accolades in both "Embedded Technologies" and "In-Vehicle A/V Product" categories.

At CES 2014, Cinemo will be extending its already comprehensive future-proof multimedia architecture with significant enhancements that will create a new benchmark in infotainment excellence.

These include the World's first embedded automotive grade Blu-ray player with Distributed Playback allowing simultaneous watching of BD content across multiple devices inside the car. Connectivity presentations, including iAP/iAP2 and MTP support, will illustrate Cinemo's commitment to wide device support in an automotive setting, whilst 4K UHD Video Playback, H.265 Playback, and UPnP Renderer and Controller functionalities will show how Cinemo is bringing the future of digital lifestyle and entertainment to today's car.

Green Hills' INTEGRITY RTOS support including hardware accelerated video decoding on Freescale i.MX6 and "Works with GENIVI" compliant solutions running on Tizen OS will all be featured along with Cinemo's Unified Media Middleware including Distributed Media Management, and the CES Innovations award winning Cinemo Distributed Playback for the complete front and rear seat experience.

A Cinemo powered Lexus Premium Infotainment head-unit currently shipping with selected Lexus models will demonstrate Cinemo in a real time infotainment situation.
