Explaining the reason for shifting the focus, Pantulu Avasarala, Director, Cincom Systems mentioned that in government the timeframe of executing a project is higher in comparison to corporate segment and therefore, this shift will accelerate the business. “The presence of channel will provide us a better reach in the market as the partners already have their network of customers,” he said.

Speaking on the process of channel appointment, Avasarala said, “We were looking for partners who have sound vertical knowledge and besides they can add value to the available products so that customers get benefit. We do not have intention to create competition in the market and will work with limited number of partners who have the expertise of translating the products into value for customers.”

Cincom would be focusing on manufacturing, healthcare, insurance and BPO as its prime vertical. Currently, the company will have two to three partners in South, West and North India.
