China upgrades its Tibet-related website

BEIJING: China's leading multilingual website dedicated to Tibet-related topics, China Tibet Online (CTO), has upgraded its Tibetan language version with more contents of news, religion, culture, health and folk customs.

This is the first major revision of the website, tb.tibet.cn, since it was launched in 2001, Zhang Xiaoping, the chief editor of the web portal, was quoted as saying by Xinhua.

With additional contents, the website can better meet people's increasing demand for information about Tibet, Zhang said.

The CTO launched its English version website just two days ago.

Zhang said, the portal also has plans to launch nine more versions in German, French and other languages in five years.
