China mobile subscriber rises to 804 mn in Aug

HONG KONG: China Mobile, China's largest mobile carrier, said its total mobile subscribers increased to 564.3 million in August, including 13.4 million 3G subscribers.

China Unicom, the country's No. 2 mobile carrier, said its total mobile subscribers rose to 160.2 million for the month, including 9.5 million 3G subscribers.

China Telecom said its total mobile subscribers increased to 79.9 million. It added that its 3G subscriber base reached 7.2 million users at the end of June.
