BEIJING, CHINA: China officially launched a state-sponsored mapping website Tuesday, aimed at offering "authoritative, credible and unified" online mapping service.

The online service, overseen by the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, can be accessed at www.tianditu.cn, Xinhua reported Tuesday.

The website had included the most comprehensive geographical data and information of China, and would provide better mapping service to the public, the bureau stated in a statement.
