A Mashable report says that General Motors has plans to introduce the voice assistant app in several of its models, including Chevrolet ones.

"The feature will be available to iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 owners, and Siri will be working through these cars' standard Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system," it added.

Siri is expected to be available in 'Eyes Free' mode, which doesn't mandate iPhone screen backlight glowing and users can make hands-free calls to contacts on iPhone, play songs on iTunes and perform other tasks, too, efficiently.

Some reports suggested that new Chevrolet Spark and Sonic LTZ and RS models would be integrated with Apple Siri, which is enabled through connection of iPhone to MyLink Bluetooth and use of steering wheel voice activation for communication.

Other car manufacturers such as BMW and Honda have also announced Siri integration, but GM tries to differentiate itself by making the feature available in small cars first, said Mashable.
