Check Point enhances endpoint security

BANGLORE, INDIA: Check Point Software Technologies, a provider in security solutions, on Thursday announced that it has launched Check Point Endpoint Security R72, a new version of the industry's only single agent for endpoint security. The new product incorporates three distinctive features namely WebCheck, OnCheck and Auto-Connect.

It also features remote access VPN, antivirus, anti-spyware, media encryption and port protection, Network Access Control (NAC) for the enterprises and centralized management.

Speaking at the launch of the product, Bhaskar Bakhtavatsalu, regional director, India and SAARC, Check Point Software Technologies said "Check Point's WebCheck is taking endpoint security is a predecessor of the first single agent products R71 which was launched in 2008.”

“The new product adds new dimension to the endpoint security with the new features. With Check Point End Point Security businessmen gain a single, comprehensive endpoint security solution with the latest in pre-emptive protection and user simplicity,” he added.

The Checkpoint WebCheck provides a dual browser mode that segregates corporate data from the Internet, allowing the end-users the freedom to surf the web with full protection against automatically downloaded malwares known as drive-by download and phishing attempts.

The OneCheck automatically unlocks all endpoint security subsystems, including windows login, disk encryption, media encryption and VPN, with a single, easy login.

The VPN Auto-Connect connects automatically following a successful OneCheck authentication and seamlessly determines the correct configuration for remote access to all networks.
