NEW DELHI: Senior government ministers, key officials and leading corporate captains will converge here for the inaugural Mindmine Summit on January 6-7, 2006.

The summit, Emerging Business Challenges: Search for Winning Responses, is the first of a series of National-level thought leadership conferences being planned by the Hero Group-promoted Hero Mindmine Institute.

The summit will assess key challenges and opportunities in an environment where the rules are constantly changing. It is being targeted at decision makers and managers from across industry.

"We hope to see thought leadership at its best. Industry captains from sunrise sectors will showcase their visions for the future, and leaders of conglomerates will detail their experiences in a changing world. Delegates will also have an opportunity to network and interact with some of India's finest minds, under a single roof,'' said Sunil Kant Munjal, managing director, of Hero Corporate Service, which has promoted Hero Mindmine Institute.

Union Industry and Commerce Minister Kamal Nath will deliver the inaugural address at the summit. Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel will also participate.

The summit will also debate on India 2015- Absolute or Obsolete? Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia, T N Ninan, editor and publisher of Business Standard, Bibek Debroy of NCAER, Suhel Seth of Red Equus Advertising, Surjit Bhalla of Oxus Investments and Vinayak Chatterjee of Feedback Ventures will participate.

M Damodaran, chairman, SEBI and Ashok Jha, secretary, ministry of finance will address the plenary sessions along with well-known diplomat Naresh Chandra, former planning commission member N K Singh, CPM politburo member Sitaram Yechury, ONGC chaiman Subir Raha and LIC chairman A K Shukla.

J J Irani, director, Tata Sons, Sunil Mittal, chairman, Bharti Enterprises, Deepak Parekh, chairman, HDFC, brand strategist Rama Bijapurkar, Arun Maira, chairman, BCG, CII chief mentor Tarun Das, and ICCR chairman Pawan Verma will also address the seminar.
