Fiber-optic networks use pulses of lights through glass conductors to transmit data from point to point. Library visitors will enjoy a higher quality experience while searching Internet sites, downloading and uploading content. City Hall will see faster transmission times over a more secure connection.

"Champion Broadband has been a long-standing player in offering their services to the residents and businesses of Monrovia and we are excited to partner with them in bringing some of the fastest networks possible to our city" City manager, Laurie Lile, said.

"Champion Broadband has its home in the City of Monrovia and we are happy to work with the city to enhance what Monrovia has to offer," said Ruben Garcia, CEO of Champion Broadband.
