NEW YORK: AMD Inc., the second-largest producer of personal computer microprocessors, said that President and Chief Executive Officer Hector Ruiz was named chairman of the board following its annual stockholders meeting.
Co-founder and former chairman WJ Sanders was elected a director and appointed chairman emeritus, the company said in a statement.
The company added that Sanders will retire from the Board of Directors.
