Centum to offer skilled manpower to ING Vysya

MUMBAI, INDIA: Centum Learning, a Bharti Associate company and a provider of learning and development solutions, on Wednesday announced that it has signed an MoU with ING Vysya Financial Services Limited (IVFSL) for providing trained manpower for the company.

The candidates would be offered opportunity to 'earn while they learn'. On selection, candidates shall receive industry-oriented learning from Centum Learning and conditional job offer letters by IVFSL, said a press release.

Candidates shall also receive an attractive stipend by ING Vysya Financial Services even while undergoing the Certificate Course in Banking and Finance, conducted jointly by Centum Learning and ING Vysya Financial Services.

The six-month learning programme comprises both class-room and on-the job training. Every week, candidates who are at least graduates shall invest two-days in learning the finer nuances of the banking and finance industry, and four days on undergoing on-the-job training with IVFSL.

On successful completion of the programme, the candidates would be jointly certified by Centum Learning and IVFSL and would join ING Vysya Financial Services’ sales team, the release added.

Sanjeev Duggal, CEO & executive director, Centum Learning said,“With the nature of the BFSI industry being people-intensive, the biggest challenge that the industry faces today is that of finding the right talent. We are taking various initiatives to enhance employability skills of youth in the country.”

The content of the programme, jointly developed by Centum Learning and IVFSL, has been designed to enrich the skills and enhance employability of the youth today, the release added. The programme covers the entire spectrum of knowledge and skills which includes modules on overview of banking and financial industry, banking practices, financial markets, sales process and techniques.

“IVFSL is continuously looking at building a talent pipeline for front line sales personnel who can be groomed to take on challenging sales assignments across various business groups. This kind of finishing school is a great opportunity to induct trained manpower who have gone through a structured programme on basic banking as well as have real-time sales experience,” Rekha Santosh, head - HR, IVFSL, added.
