Centre sanctions Rs10 cr for video conferencing in MP

BHOPAL: The Central government has sanctioned Rs10 crore toward video

conferencing at the government level. Following completion of the project, the Chief

Minister, Chief Secretary and principal secretaries would be in direct contact

with the Divisional Commissioner and collectors of all the 39 districts.

According to Vallabh Bhawan sources, the state government had approached the

central government for approval and financial assistance for a Vallabh Bhawan

modernization plan. The state government has requested the union government to

sponsor a video conferencing system in the state so that collectors,

Commissioners are directly connected to the chief minister, Chief Secretary and

other senior officers in the government.

The first phase of the project will include the Divisional Commissioners of

Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Chambal, Gwalior, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Rewa and Sagar

divisions. Once the connectivity is established at divisional levels, the state

government would commence working at the district level.
