These libraries provide numerical components for programmers on the Microsoft .NET platform. Both libraries have many new features and increased performance, especially on multi-core machines said the press release.

CenterSpace Software's NMath library provides numerical components for mathematical applications written in .NET languages such as C#, Visual Basic.NET, and F#.

"The expanded functionality of the libraries are targeted to businesses that need to do analysis of their data, including data mining and business intelligence," stated Trevor Misfeldt, CEO. "For example, algorithms like NMF are very useful for clustering similar information in unstructured data. A Savitzky-Golay filter tends to preserve features of the data which are flattened by moving averages."

Features include sparse matrix classes, matrix factorizations and decompositions, least squares solutions, random number generators, numerical integration and differentiation methods, curve fitting, and linear programming.

NMath Stats is a .NET statistics library that provides functions for statistical computation and biostatistics, including descriptive statistics, probability distributions, combinatorial functions, multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance (ANOVA), multivariate statistics, partial least squares, and nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF).
