Cohesion, an extensive blueprint library assists companies to take a holistic view of the IT environment. It helps improving productivity and reducing number of man-hours spent on monitoring IT infrastructure management.

Ed Sesek, vice president, engineering, Cendura, said, “We have enhanced the latest version with three important features - server centric, automation and new user interface. Besides, for the first time we have even integrated network inventory management in Cohesion 2.0.”

The automation feature helps reducing time and effort required for identifying the existing IT inventory and making the possible changes. The new user interface streamlines workforce with servers.

“Cohesion 3.5 lets users know what IT environment they have. The latest version attempts and identifies what happened with various components, servers, databases, applications, etc.,” explained Sesek.

He further added that Cohesion 3.5 could only provide information on components to a limited extent. Cohesion 4.0 will provide deeper information on various components such as processor speed, physical memory, etc.

Detailing the higher scalability and performance of the new version, Sesek said, “Hitherto, it was supporting IT environments of about 1,000 servers, but now it can support 2,500 to 5,000 servers. There exist some large enterprises with around 10,000 servers too and we hope to target them soon.”

Support for storage devices, enhancing real-time and supporting multiple Cohesion support servers could be a few additional features users can expect in the next version after the launch of Cohesion 4.0.
