STATEN ISLAND, USA: To help retailers reduce the costs and time associated with fulfilling online sales, Celerant Technology introduces Best Store Fulfillment - a series of enhancements to its Command Retail software suite that enables retailers to utilize each location as its own warehouse, for optimized order fulfillment.

The module is designed to automatically choose the optimal shipping route based on a range of variables pre-defined by the retailer, such as location, cost, quantity on-hand, style, and more.

"In the three months since we started using Best Store Fulfillment, we have eliminated the need to manually print orders, search for product availability and allocate items to shipping facilities," said Phil Arolo, IT director for Commonwealth Lacrosse.

"As a result, we've been able to save almost 40 hours a week in labor expenses, which is one full-time position. We have achieved our goal of shipping 95 percent of orders within 24 hours; 98 percent since launching this new module, and have improved the efficiency of handling ‘out-of-stock' issues and ‘no fulfillment' situations."

As one of the first Celerant clients to utilize Best Store Fulfillment, Commonwealth Lacrosse has experienced a remarkable boost in online sales revenue. In the three months since implementing Best Store Fulfillment, the Massachusetts-based sporting goods retailer has seen online revenue grow by almost 23 percent compared to the same time period from the year before.
