MHRD and CBSE have announced an essay competition for school students of classes 9-12 on the theme ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Swatantra Bharat’. The competition envisions the emergence of a robust and strong nation committed to the welfare of all. Further, it is a clarion call by the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. He aims to build a strong, vibrant and self-reliant India for all and an India of all.

The theme Aatmanirbhar Bharat- Swatantra Bharat reiterates the commitment for working towards achieving self-reliance in all sectors of our economy. With the pillars of culture, heritage and knowledge, this will ideate India for becoming a global force.

The last date to apply is August 23, 2020.

Children are very excited and participating in large numbers. Yet, there are some problems that they are facing. If you are one of those, who can't upload a file to the portal, or the portal doesn't accept your details, here is what you can do:

1. The first thing that you can try is to check if your PDF File is less than 8 MB. If it is not, compress your PDF file to less than 2 MB and you will be able to upload it.

2. One of the participants was not able to enter the email ID. The best course would be to use a Gmail ID. This way, you will have the ease of access to the account. Further, fill all the areas that have the asterisk (*) marked on them.

3. The server may be down due to a large number of users on it. Try to upload your document early morning. (That trick helps on every kind of portal).

4. Make sure you are putting an active mobile number. You will get an OTP for login. Also, a little trick- register with your full name.

5. This competition is for students of class 9th to 12th. Don't cheat or you'll be banned from the competition.

6. Follow the writing guidelines. Write-up text should be in readable Font of Hindi/English. (Use Times New Roman). Font size should be 12 for English and 14 for Hindi. Line spacing should be 1.15 only.

7. If you are still unable to, try restarting the process.
